Addition to Rose Payton Collection

Historical Artefact

Rose Payton, affectionately known as rosie, was many things in her life…a mother, a wife, a Renaissance re-enactor, a guide, an educator and a friend. She was also a person who lived a Total Power Exchange relationship with her Master of 21 years, Master Peter Bolton, who passed away in 2021. Within this relationship, rosie identified as a Gorean slave. She too passed away recently and several items of significance have been passed from her family to KNOTbound to be maintained in the Australian BDSM Archives permanent collection.

The most important of these items is rosie’s Turian slave collar. This unique collar was crafted by the gold and silver smith Sir Walraven van Heeckeren from NSW. The collar is made of a thick walled sterling silver tube, 10 mm in diameter, hinged at the back and originally had a magnetic locking system in the front with two magnetic keys to unlock it. Over time, as the collar was continuously worn and exposed to moisture, the mechanism corroded and failed. Sir Walraven replaced the mechanism once but unfortunately it failed again. Master Peter was forced to cut through the collar to remove it when rosie was diagnosed with cancer in late 2016. In 2022 rosie contacted Sir Walraven who created new ends for the broken collar in such a way that rosie was able to wear the collar again but remove it if necessary. rosie continued to wear the collar until she passed away in September 2024.
