Park Lounge II and Shibari Performance – Sunday 6 Feb

This is one of our more exciting announcements!
KNOTbound was approached by the organisers of Park Lounge in December to help the BDSM community add our special brand of diversity to this event. After discussion it was decided to try to find a shibari performance artist to introduce the community to one of our beautiful and exciting forms of bonding.

KNOTbound is excited to announce that Alex Vicia, renowned Melbourne Mistress and Shibari artist, has agree to perform at Park Lounge. Alex has been a student of the Melbourne Rope Dojo since 2009. She travels to Japan regularly and is also a student of Osada Ryu and Yukimura Ryu. She is the first female outside Japan to be named by Yukimura sensei.

In addition, KNOTbound will have a couch in the main hall for people to come by and talk to us about BDSM. We hope through events like this to counter the ignorance and fear that so often still colours conversations about kink. If you would like to volunteer to help at the couch, please contact me to discuss.
